Iranian short ‘The Grand daughter’ is to vie in the US

Iranian short ‘The Grand daughter’ is to vie at the 2021 Taos Shortz Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘The Grand daughter’ has been selected to compete at the 15th edition of the Taos Shortz Film Festival in the US.

Co-directed by Mohsen Habibi and Mostafa Daryadar, ‘The Grand daughter’ follows the story of a young girl who enters the house of someone affected by a virus.

Nastaran Vaziri and Zahra Esmaeeli are the cast members of the short film.

The short flick has participated in a number of international film festivals and garnered the award for Super Short Film at the 2020 edition of the Blue Danube Film Festival in Hungary.

According to the website of the Taos Shortz Film Festival, “After a long uncertain COVID year, Taos Shortz Film Fest, the longest continually running film festival in New Mexico returns with a whole new selection of Global Short Films”.

The 15th edition of the event will be held on March 19-21, 2021.
